The 1st FRASCAL Autumn School 2022 on "Software Development" will take place for the first time. The two-day training course will cover the fundamentals and development of software architectures. The 1st FRASCAL Autumn School will be held from 13 to 14 October 2022 at the Hotel Fuchsbräu in the historic small town of Beilngries and is aimed at all FRASCAL doctoral researchers.

The second RTG (Research Training Group) retreat of GRK 2423 FRASCAL took place on 5 and 6 May 2022 at the Hotel Arvena Reichsstadt in the small historic town of Bad Windsheim.

Prof. Dr. Paul Steinmann, Chair of Engineering Mechanics, has been awarded an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council (ERC). He will use the funding of 2.5 million for the next five years to study the fracture mechanics of soft materials such as rubber or fabric more intensively. Paul Steinmann already received an ERC Advanced Grant in 2011 for research into magnetic elastomers. A huge congratulations to our spokesperson Paul Steinmann !
